Why Use A Personal Trainer?
A Personal Trainer is a fitness professional who is involved in prescribing exercise guidance for their clients. They will push the client to the required level to get the results they want.
Personal Trainers create challenging fitness plans to help with their clients' goals.
They motivate and guide clients by setting realistic goals and providing feedback.
They monitor the clients' progress with fitness assessments and 'check-ins'.
Personal Trainers are on hand and give support to clients whenever it is needed.
Some people prefer to hire a Personal Trainer because they do not have enough motivation to exercise in the gym.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM MY SESSIONS?
It all starts with a free consultation and taster session.
Your and your trainer will discuss your vision of what you want your personal training to achieve.
Your weight, body fat percentage and muscle mass will be calculated and this will be used as a base that we can work towards improving in the coming weeks and months. Together we will look at your diet and lifestyle, and see if there is any room for improvement to aid your training.
Session One
The first session is always going to be tough, but not so tough that you won't want to come back!
We will start with gentle stretching and warm ups to get your body moving and your heart rate up. We will look at the main exercise components, and we will take you through the different exercise styles, which you may or may not be familiar with, to keep your body guessing.
We will show you the importance of the cool down period and returning your heart rate to its normal resting state. We will show you how to safely stretch out your muscles to prevent injury, and we will be with you every step of the way, giving you instructions and all the correct techniques.
NOTE: It is normal for you to ache the next day, and even the day after that especially if you have used muscles you haven't used in a while! This is called 'DOMS' or 'Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness', but you don't need to worry too much about it. A good stretch and hot bath usually does the trick. However, if you have any questions or worries, please do not hesitate to speak to us. As a part of the package, you will get unlimited telephone and email support. If you have any questions or worries, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
BOOKING A SESSION
If you'd like to discuss personal training, please get in touch either by calling, by email, Facebooking or Tweeting! We really look forward to hearing from you.

1. You're not seeing results
If you have been exercising for some time and aren't losing weight, seeing an increase in strength or achieving your goals, speaking to someone like us would be a great choice. Your trainer will look at your exercise program and eating habits and help you see where you could make changes to enhance your workouts.
2. You don't know where to start
If you're totally new to exercise, it can be quite daunting thinking of which exercises would be effective to get the desired result. That's where we come in. We can assess what exercises would be most beneficial to your personally and maximise your time, while making sure you don't over do it. We can also set out a specific goal plan, so that we both know where you are, where you are going and where you want to be.
3. You're bored with the same old workouts
If you are an experienced exerciser, you may not have considered hiring a personal trainer. It can be a great choice for bringing variety into your workouts. A personal trainer can bring new ideas to the table, which will challenge you both physically and mentally. Even if you just do a few sessions, or meet every few weeks, you could find it refreshing and challenging.
4. You need to be challenged
Sometimes you need to be pushed to do things, or maybe when you exercise, you don't really work out as hard as you could. Trainers like us will motivate you to push through to lift heavier, perform more repetitions, run faster, longer - or whatever you need to go towards your goal. You are more likely to challenge yourself if you had a trainer by your side every step of the way. You may find inner-strengths you never knew you had, which can motivate you even more!
5. You want to learn how to exercise on your own
Even if your goal is to educate yourself on how to write exercises of your own or know how to exercise effectively, we can teach you how to do just that. It could take just a few sessions to get to grips with the basics of effective exercising. This is especially if you want to learn about the muscles in the body and how different exercises affect the different muscles.
6. You need accountability and motivation
We come with plenty of motivation! If you lack motivation to do a workout, we bring more than enough for all of us! Even if we don't have a planned session one day, we would, for example, like to know what kind of things you had been eating and/or what exercise (if any) you had planned that day. Just to make sure you are getting value for money.
7. You have a specific injury, illness or condition
We will help you get through whatever injury or condition you may have. Whether it be a sports related injury or condition you currently have, we can work together with your GP to find the most suitable form of exercise to get you moving, healthy and fit.
8. You're training for a specific sport or event
If you are training for a specific sport or event, we can help you with your current exercise regime to give you the best possible chance of succeeding.
9. You want supervision and support in your workouts
Even if you are an experienced exerciser, some people like to have a trainer there to support them in their workout. For example, if you are lifting heavy weights, you need someone who can lift the weight and support you while you are going for that overload to build the muscles during the set.
10. You want to work with us, but don't live near
We are launching Online Coaching Programmes, so you can have our expertise and motivation, wherever you are in the world.
